Early intervention works.

Early Intervention for ME empowers families and sets babies and toddlers in Maine up for better developmental outcomes.

Our mission is to support the development of infants and toddlers up to age three who are either demonstrating developmental delays or have conditions that are likely to lead to developmental delays.

“It opened our eyes to the options that are available in Maine… to help our children be the best versions of themselves they can be.”

– Megan, a Maine parent whose child participated in our program

WHAT WE DO

Early Intervention for ME helps children from birth to three achieve important developmental milestones.

Research clearly shows children from birth to three respond best to caregivers they know and trust. In a family focused partnership, our early developmental specialists show caregivers how to incorporate learning opportunities into a child’s everyday activities. We provide early intervention services at your home, daycare, or in any other environment that is familiar and natural for your child. And our program is voluntary and free.

“I assumed that it was going to be a long difficult process. I assumed there might be long waiting lists. I thought it might be costly. And it was none of those things. We were able to get an evaluation in our home…with multiple different therapists within a few weeks.”

– Heather, a Maine parent, on her experience with our program
